Pharmashelve to launch new products at The Pharmacy Show 2008

Pharmashelve, the specialist pharmacy brand of pharmaceutical shelving, storage and dispensing solutions, is planning to launch a selection of new additions to the Pharmashelve range at the forthcoming “The Pharmacy Show 2008” which is held during October each year.

Pharmashelve exhibited for the first time at The Pharmacy Show in 2007 and was overwhelmed by the level of interest, and orders, generated by the company’s outstanding range of specialist pharmaceutical storage solutions. This success was the foundation in Pharmashelve’s decision to firmly place The Pharmacy show in the company’s calendar of forthcoming events.

Since the show in 2007, Pharmashelve has further expanded the total range of products from the initial single bay solution launched back in 2005 to a full portfolio of products and accessories now numbering over 30. With the launch of the new items at The Pharmacy Show 2008, it is expected that the total number of Pharmashelve branded products will be around 40 by the end of the year.

The pharmacy Show is the leading exhibition of its kind in the UK attended by Pharmacists representing 80% of the UK pharmacy market, with a combined buying power of £12 Billion! The number of delegates in 2007 was reported to be over 4,000. Based on the growth experienced in 2007; the show organisers expect the number of visitors to grow a further 50% in 2008 when the show takes place on the 12th and 13th of October at the NEC in Birmingham.

This year Pharmashelve has taken stand number C31 and are bracing themselves for an influx of visitors to the stand. Last year the interest was so great that it proved almost impossible to demonstrate the Pharmashelve system to all stand visitors so the company have planned for the new product catalogue to be ready in time for the show for customers to take away. Steve Turner, Director said “We are looking forward to, and excited to be back, at The Pharmacy show. The overwhelming interest last year took us all by surprise and the amount of business we did over the two days was fantastic. This year we are taking more staff, having a new catalogue and generally working much harder so we can try and speak to as many people as possible. I think one of the big issues from last year was that people were surprised at what good value Pharmashelve is compared to other systems on the market. I think if Pharmashelve was expensive they may have walked off the stand when we told them how much, but when the price was lower than they expected they tended to stay on the stand much longer wanting to find out more about all the features. Hopefully this year will be better still with the new products we are launching.”

Originally only available in the UK, Pharmashelve is now marketed worldwide with sales and distribution channels available across Europe, India, America and the Far East.
