St. Andrews Healthcare Northampton Case Study
Pharmashelve recently completed the showcase project to supply over 13 tons of Pharmashelve equipment to St Andrew's Healthcare in Northampton thanks to an impressive pitch supported by outstanding 3-D visuals of the proposed layout. St Andrew's Healthcare is a leading provider of specialist mental healthcare for adults and young people in the UK. Its ongoing strategy to develop and improve facilities and services for patients has enabled the provision of expert care to more people than ever before.
Part of the expansion and development plan at Northampton was the creation of a completely new Pharmacy comprising a large dispensary, spacious storeroom and an administration area. Research into Pharmacy shelving systems led to several suppliers being invited to submit designs and costs that would provide an efficient, flexible solution within budget.
Pharmashelve was chosen as the most suitable solution following submission of 3D visuals, project plans and costs, which were virtually a third, lower than the competition. Further design and development meetings between Liz Hodgson, Head of Pharmacy, her staff and Pharmashelve culminated in the delivery of 13 tons of Pharmashelve equipment. In total the project consisted of 52 Pharmashelve bays including sloping sliding shelves, deep drawers, half depth drawers, 3 work stations with monitor brackets, plastic bin bars, and a mixture of storage shelves and drawers. Incredibly, installation took just two and a half days with a minimum disruption to St Andrew's.
